In 2016, the Raytown Emergency Assistance Program (REAP) has already given over 28,000 items of food to hungry families. For more than 30 years REAP has served as a food pantry and has provided financial assistance for thousands in the Raytown school district that fall at or below the poverty rate. What they do is so much more than just a food pantry; their goal is to create families that are self-sufficient. REAP provides training in the areas of computer literacy, budgeting, and partners with a work express program to assist with interview skills and resumes.

The upcoming summer months prove difficult for the shelves to stayed stocked as students are out of school and families rely on the assistance of REAP to help feed their families. Starting Sunday, April 24 Graceway will be taking donations to help stock REAP’s pantry as they prepare for a very busy season. Donation bins will be located in the lobby for food items and toiletries. We will also accept monetary donations. Graceway has pledged to give $8,000 to REAP as they continue to serve the Raytown community. You can donate monetarily by designating Global & Community Outreach on your offerings.
