Graceway partners with four elementary schools in our community throughout the year: Blue Ridge, Eastwood Hills, Pitcher, and Trailwoods. We have provided meals during teacher appreciation times, several people have volunteered an hour each week to read to a student, and we have hosted multiple movie days for students. This July we’re holding a school supply drive to help teachers and students get off to a strong start when classes resume in August.
We asked teachers what supplies would best help them serve their students. From crayons to tissues to uniforms, we have compiled a list of the items teachers feel will give them a great head start to the school year. See a complete list here.
Without our help many students will not have basic supplies like folders or pencils – and teachers will use their personal money to create an inviting learning environment for these children. Bins will be available in the Graceway lobby throughout July to collect supplies.
