Becoming part of the mission is both corporate and individual. As individuals decide to join with others for the same purpose, there is often an impact beyond what one person can do alone.
Together we collected 250 backpacks and filled them with supplies for the children of Pitcher Elementary. Your response to help our community was amazing. Thank you for donating to the school supply drive!
This summer we also worked in our community by helping with the Raytown Summer Lunch Ministry. Through this six-week ministry, 750 lunches were served daily to Raytown children. Graceway sent teams: one team helped pack lunches and two other teams delivered them to two locations. Thank you for being a part! This community wide effort was a partnership with other churches, businesses, and the school district. Together we made a difference.
Your generous donations to Global Outreach helped install clothing closets and get washers and dryers operational at Pitcher and Trailwoods Elementary Schools. A committed team serves dinner once a month in the Community Kitchen at Bishop Sullivan. In July, more than sixty people served for clean-up and construction at The River of Refuge where walls are being erected in the apartments to help “working poor families”. Children from refugee families with Jewish Vocational Services (JVS) are playing in our Youth Soccer League; your giving helps transport them to practices and games.
Thank you for joining with us to make a local and global impact. Thank you for serving, giving, praying and leading. Thank you, Graceway, for following the vision to make a difference in our local community. For more info on these partnerships and outreach opportunities, contact Donna Bruce.
